Star Struck - Coffee, Tea, Tarot or Astrology?
By Steaphanie Santana

In the midst of Notting Hill's colourful hustle and bustle, winding roads and small streets that lead to the notorious Portobello Market, between streams of shops and boutiques exists a little coffee shop called The Twelfth House.

Discreetly fitting in with its neighbouring surroundings, at first glance The Twelfth House looks no more unusual than any other local eatery. It is only when you walk in and are greeted by a friendly staff member that you are introduced to its very unique concept. This is no ordinary little café - here dwells any Horoscope or Astrology lovers' paradise!

I had already heard of The Twelfth House and therefore had inkling to what goes on therein, but never felt the need to have a bespoke Astrological consultation.

Perhaps over the years, my passion and commitment to searching every newspaper and magazine horoscope column I can get my hands on, in order to get some form of indication of 'what's to come next' has faded. Frankly, I got bored of the ambiguous and repetitive rattle about Moon and became a modern day sceptic; not of Astrology per se but certainly of the column writers!

I was also sceptical on booking a session at The Twelfth House and it was only recently on a momentary impulse as I strutted by the place, that the little voice inside me yelled, "STOP! Go in and try your luck!" I obeyed my instincts and was amazingly enthralled by the outcome.

As I ordered my Earl Grey, a Tarot reading waiter told me that there is an in-house Astrologer who produces your own personal Astrological chart and consults on your horoscope.

I found that I was sitting next to the lady herself and got chatting to her. As I sipped on my drink she asked me my date of birth and to my astonishment 'Pricilla' summed up my character and life in just a matter of sentences. I had to contain myself as my ears were turned pink and my chin dropped somewhere by my feet. The excitement was back. Curiosity aroused, I immediately asked to book a consultation but of course Pricilla was just too busy for the next few days.

My second visit was more dumbfounding and astonishing than the first. I was given an astrological chart and personalized description of my zodiac signs. I felt like Pricilla had known my family and I for years, as she precisely described intimate details and events concerning all aspects of life.

The chart was very well interpreted, delivered with great passion and inspirational advice (affirming advice Sahar has been giving me for years) was given. The consultation cost a mere £25 and took place in a very cosy informal setting.

I highly recommend a visit to Pricilla at The Twelfth House to anyone that maybe feeling a bit lost or confused and would like some pointers on how to get out of a situation and move forward. Her interpretations were accurate and advice she has offered is invaluable. Tarot Readings are also available by other staff members.
