Have you ever felt a Yearning for something Unknown? 

Harmony Zone and Treasures of the MidEast have joined forces this month to take you on a journey to the timeless path of Sufism - a mystical tradition known as the Way of the Heart. Join our Australian born speaker, Rita Ali who will guide us to the fascinating world of Sufi mysticism.

Sufis are lovers of Truth. Through love and devotion they move towards the Truth, which we are all seeking. This mystical path is still taught to seekers today through a variety of techniques, including exercise, movement, drumming, dancing, meditation, chanting and whirling.

With a background in anthropology, publishing and teaching, Rita was guided to a Sufi Master in a dream. She followed her dream, literally and figuratively, to meet her Master, Shaykh Taner Ansari of the Qadiri Rifai Tariqa. For the past eleven years she has been a student of Shaykh Taner and now one of his representatives.  

Part of Rita's training with her Master, included studying Silat martial arts, as well as undergoing an apprenticeship in Turkey, where she visited various Sufi teachers, saints' tombs and sacred places. Multilingual Rita who has traveled and lived in many countries is now living with her family in London. She is in the process of writing a novel about the Sufi quest and hosts an international group for Sufi women.
