Amal Oakes is an old client and friend of mine who has recently launched her delightful family run Amoul’s Delicatessen & catering in Little Venice, London - receiving much deserved praise in London press.
Here, you can relax, in the true sense of Middle Eastern hospitality, around Amoul's kitchen table as you were in your own home; while you enjoy sipping your Turkish coffee cup, and have your cup read by me!

Owner, Amal Oakes, was born in Lebanon and, prior to opening Amoul, ran a successful catering business specialising in Lebanese home cooked food. There is a huge list of specials at Amoul, from the Spinach Fatayer (pies), Cheese Borak, Kibbeh, Vine Leaves, Wild Chicory or (hindbeh) to the different stews that are all freshly prepared every day. Amoul’s menu changes daily, based on seasonal produce supplied.
You will also find a good variety of different cheeses, cold cuts, virgin olive oils and; an ample supply of Lebanese specialties like Za’atar, Sumac, pomegranate syrup and home made jams.
