Dear All,
My thanks and gratitude go to all my clients and friends who called and emailed asking after my well-being after the bombing of London last Thursday. As many of you know, I live literally few minutes away from Edgware Road Tube Station, where one of the bombs exploded. Luckily, I was at home at 9 am, but many were not so fortunate. It appears that around seventy people, most of them young, a cross-section of our city’s international and ethnic mix, lost their lives leaving their the loved ones behind. I therefore find it difficult to send my newsletter out to you without addressing what London, my hometown for the past 15 years, has just experienced.
An old client and friend wrote: “Of all the places hit, I thought Edgware road was interesting considering the population there. But these animals frankly don't care and I'm afraid they probably hate you only slightly less than they hate me.. I was so hurt, mad, and frustrated.. I spent the whole day watching the BBC. I was only going to stay at Heathrow for one night on my way back but I changed my ticket to stay for four days in Russell Square because I wanted to pay my respects.” Another client who came to see me last Saturday, having arrived the night before from Kuwait, told me that the plane was full with passengers: “we refuse to give up on London; we all came here for the summer.”
On the seventh of July, life for all Londoners changed over night, from the marvellous, life-supporting, Live 8 concert, and the award of the Olympics in 2012, London became on that day a wounded City. Was the terrorist bombing of London a coincident the following the Olympic award – 2012 is said to be the year prophesied by the ancients, including Mayans, to herald the beginning of a new era - the Age of Aquarius? Simultaneously, I was preparing for an article on Stonehenge for a future issue ‘Prediction’ magazine, studying information about ley lines, and the power grid, the ‘neural’ power nodes that run through out this ancient country, including London. I could not help wondering if the bombing was a reaction to the global evolution that is taking place, a last grasp of old and evil forces. Was it a wake-up call to humanity as a whole, as expressed in AH’s message as channelled by Tony Neate? And how can we as Humanity move forward ‘If the shadow is not healed’? Are we as humanity, ‘exercising the terrorist within?’ are other thoughts expressed by another channeller friend of mine.
It is truly ironic and sick that these outrages occurred in London, a place which perhaps more than any city on Earth personifies the fact that people of all races and creeds can live and work together in tolerance and harmony – the emergency workers on 7th July reflected this diversity, our black policemen, Asian firemen, and Arab and Muslim doctors working with their colleagues. It is hard to understand such events by simply deciding ‘what side we are on’, what nationality or religion we are. Spiritual understanding compels us to see ourselves as an expression of the Divine without separation, transcending national identity. Terrorism in my view is an expression of humankind, of our species’ dark side; that transcends race, creed and colour. It affects us all; it changes us all, and forces us to integrate together as humanity in order to evolve by transcending our divisions and those who would drive us backwards. We are more than the passports which identify us.

Last weekend, just after the bombing, I was among hundred, thousands, of people of various nationalities and religion who have made London their home too as they gathered to commemorate 60 years of WWII, honouring and remembering all who made it possible for London’s triumph against aggression. At the end of the Living Museum exhibit, a statement written on a World War II truck summed it all up: “1945-2005 London Can Take It!”- how true!
As some kind of closure occurred as names of perpetrators were announced, our thoughts go to those who lost their lives, their families and loved ones- a reminder to us all that we are one family, one humanity. I hope that we can all continue to celebrate life, and all that is wonderful about our humanness.
