 Jessica Murray trained as a fine artist before graduating in 1973 from Brown University, where she studied traditional psychology and linguistics. After a stint in political theatre, Jessica began a study of metaphysics and has been practicing and teaching astrology in San Francisco for thirty years.
A frequent contributor to The Mountain Astrologer, Psychic & Spirit Magazine, and other publications, Jessica's recent writing focuses upon macro-transits as they manifest in current global events, and upon the disappearance and the re-emergence of lunar astrology. She is currently writing a book on the planet Pluto.
"A common misconception is that modern astrology makes predictions. In fact, centuries ago astrologers did, and some schools of astrology still do; most notably in those societies such as India where the predominating world view follows a more fatalistic bent. It is psychology, however, rather than divination, that underlies most contemporary astrology in the West."
