Dear Sahar,

I am an Italian 24 year old and my big habit is that of always turning my coffee cup over and to read the grounds. I think I am still quite a beginner at my coffee cup reading though!

I am seeing a man and I took a look at his coffee cup. Because he put in sugar I could not see any symbols at the bottom, but to my surprise, the only thing I saw on the side of the cup was the letter 'N' (my name is Nicoletta) tied with a sort of dash to the letter 'V'.

Could he be (now or in the future) torn between two women? One maybe called Valentina? Or, is the V referring to 'female qualities'? I have also noticed that my initial, the letter N, is actually made up of two V's.

Help! thank-you so much for your attention,

Nicoletta, Italy

Dear Nicoletta,

Thank you for your email.

About your cup, well I can't really say for sure unless I see it. But generally, "V" for me indicates victory- triumph over a struggle, etc. rather than ‘torn-between-two’. So, it could be through meeting you, you are going to help out your man with something, or that by making your contact, it is going to help him achieve a 'victory' of some sort.

I do not know if you had turned over his cup for him, or whether the symbols were formed as he drank the coffee (without turning over the cup). If you turned over for him, then you would have put your own energy and hopes in it, and you would be seeing what is on your mind, or what you hope or fear; rather than what might actually happen. This is why I always ask people to turn the cup over themselves.

The other possible interpretation is that the message is for you: since he drank the coffee while being with you, it could be that you (or your concerns) were on his mind and this cup indicates that you will have 'victory' over something. So it could actually be good news for you and the message is coming to you through his cup!

Intuitively, I feel it is most likely the latter interpretation.

Above all, let your relationship unfold and observe it- rather than panic or rush into thinking "is he seeing someone else" or not because our thoughts influence the choices we make and how we perceive things: thinking like that would not only make you doubtful if not untrusting and can take away the joy that comes with meeting another fellow human being! So, trust yourself to deal with things and that you will make the right decision when you come to crossing that bridge- not before.

Hope it helps,

Love and light

Sahar
